What is Cultured Marble?
Cultured marble is a composite product made by spraying a protective gel coat under pressure onto a mold to produce a seamless countertop surface. Colored pigments and colored chips are mixed with polyester resins and limestone-filler, then cast into a prepared mold.
Benefits of Cultured Marble
Cultured marble is a truly unique, practical, and durable product. Each piece will be unique and one-of-a-kind due to our manufacturing process. Every product at North Coast is made by hand and our skilled team of craftsmen have many years of experience creating beautiful designs that replicate and mimic natural marble and granite. However, unlike natural marble and granite, cultured marble is manufactured with a non-porous surface. These properties make cultured marble an excellent low-maintenance and durable option for bathrooms. In addition to being a low-maintenance product, minor scratches or surface damage can be repaired easily without requiring replacement. Another advantage to choosing cultured marble is affordability. This product is less expensive to manufacture than its natural counterpart and that makes it less expensive to the consumer. Our elegant countertops, shower/tub surrounds and windowsills will add value to your home and will help you stay within your budget.
